Whale of a Time!

Since Evey loves baths so much, we thought it was time for her to graduate from her Puj tub. We have LOVED the little tub that folds flat and cradles her to prevent drowning (and squirming), but the problem with it is that it doesn't hold enough water for her to splash and play. It was perfect for her younger months, but now that she's active, I knew it was time for something bigger. On the day we celebrated five months with our girl, we went to Buy Buy Baby and looked at all the options. We picked out a little whale tub that will grow with her and she'll be able to use it until she's ready for a real bathtub.

We put it in the bathtub, and turned the water on and she was freaking out. She knew that it was time for a bath, but the change was terrifying. The way she grabbed onto my neck and shoulder was so sweet. She knew I'd keep her safe and she didn't want to let go.

We got the tub filled up, turned off the faucet and put her in the water. She wimpered a bit at first, but then realized it was almost the same as being in her Puj. She started to kick her feet to splash and very quickly was giggling. Her Nana and Flash had given her a little tug-boat with a captain and little fishies to play with in the bath, so we put the smaller items in and she loved playing! It was so fun to see her enjoy the bigger tub. Something that small was such a big thing to me. Seeing her play and splash in the water makes me realize how big she's getting. I love seeing her grow up, but I miss my little newborn!

Evey had fish for dinner!

All done with her big girl bath and ready for her bedtime routine!!
