Kiss Me, I'm Cute!

You couldn't pinch Evey today... I had her decked out in green for her first St. Patty's Day! And she may not be Irish, but she sure looked cute covered in shamrocks!

Check out those adorable, chunky feet! I LOVE IT!!

Cutting a Tooth: Day Ten

Just an update:

The first tooth still hasn't pushed all the way up yet, but you can definitely see it! On top of that, we think the second tooth is ready to push through, right next to it.

The good news?

My alarm went off this morning at 5:30am and I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized that we all slept through the night. It was the first time in weeks!

Build Me Up, Buttercup

Evey's very popular amongst her great-grandparents, as you could imagine, and we spent the evening with my mom's mom. It was Evey's first visit to her Great-Grandnanny's house.

My cousin, Samantha, had come to visit from Floriday and any family that was close by came to party! The weather was gorgeous, so we spent time hanging out outside. I never realized how great my Nanny's yard would be for photo-ops, but I definitely got some great ones.

As Evey got comfortable with the yellow flowers towering over her, I couldn't help but singing:

Why do you build me up, Buttercup, baby just to bring me down and mess me around again? Worst of all, you never call, baby, when you say you will. But I love you still. I need you more than anyone, darlin'. You know that I have from the start. So build me up, Buttercup, don't break my heart.

Yes, I know those are daffodils, but I didn't know a song about those!

Mimi helped Evey pick some flowers for her Nanny's table.

Oh... and Evey got scolded for picking Nanny's flowers! LOL.

Since Sam was in town, we had a small reunion. Her brother, Eric, came as well as our cousin, Kacy; her son, Clayton; and my sister's roommate, Amanda. It was a lot of people crammed into a tiny house, but it was loads of fun. It brought back a lot of memories from my childhood when we used to celebrate every holiday at Nanny's house.

As the evening wore on, Evey started to get fussy. The weather was getting bad (to the point of tornadoe watches) and cooling off, but it was still too hot to stay inside. And everyone wants a piece of Evey! The great thing about Mipas is that they will do anything to make their grandbabies happy. I love this set of my dad with his girl!

I have a picture of my dad and me when I was around this age that is identical to this one. It's so sweet!

Peek-a-boo is one of Evey's favorite games!

This set is of Ali's roommate and I thought it was too great to pass up! Fantastic faces by Amanda. :)

Overall, it was such a fun night. On our way home, we got the call about the possible tornadoes so we stopped at PaDon and Mama Colliver's house - just to be safe. We watched part of the UK game with them and got to catch up. It was a lot of fun spending time with Christopher's best friend's parents!!
